Sophomore Year: Check!

All I can say is 9 months have flown by. Like completely flown by. I remember packing up for my second year of college like it was yesterday. I was nervous that the friends I made the previous year weren't going to remember me, was I going to make new friends, were the people that I were going to live with be able to stand me...so many thoughts flew through my head. So many. But you know what I was wrong. About it all.

First off I need to say thank you to these three girls. Mckell, Abbie, and I have been friends since 7th grade and I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. Being able to have the same friends go through Jr. High, High School, and College with you, is a rare thing. It has been a blast and an adventure for sure, we have memories that will last a life time. Sierrah--thank you for being tall! For 99% of my life I have been that tall friend...haha having Si in the picture makes me look semi normal. It has been so fun to get to know her and make memories with her as well. Shout out to Rachel--who is their roommate (not in pic). She is the sweetest girl, who is so dedicated and warm hearted. I have loved every second since you moved into OAK 11D! I couldn't have done this year without them.

Second off: I L..O..V..E.. Utah State University. It seriously is the best school out there. I am so proud to be an Aggie. Moving away from home was the hardest yet best decision I have made. I have learned more then I ever thought I would. I love the town of Logan. After this year I feel like it's safe to say that Logan is my second home. I love the atmosphere of football games (first one is Sept 3 who's counting?), spectrum magic, the crazy aggie traditions, and my fellow aggies. Walking into class the first day of a semester not knowing anybody, then after class walking out with people that you soon will find out will become some of your best friends is a real treat. Plus, a complete bonus about USU is the beauty of it. From the beautiful crisp fall leaves, to the sparkling snow (that freezes your nose hairs), to the bright buds that are blossoming..Logan is beautiful and I am glad that I don't live too far away, so I can visit regularly over the summer.

Third: My " Boys". Ron Man and Squeegie... what would I have done without you this year? From surviving anatomy, chugz runs, physiology, Dr. Gordon's class, sneaking on the field, and to just the daily talks....which I am going to miss the most. It amazes me that I really have only truly known you fellas for little over 9 months because I feel like its been forever. I just wanna say thank you. I have and will always look up to the both of you. Your example and the friendship that you gave me this year, really means more then you will ever know. I hope you two don't become too cool for me over this summer so we can party, and have study sessions once fall hits. Mrr...Mrr...Mrr...Merge! Uh you're solid and thanks for letting me drive your scoot around real fast.haha To the other boys in that apartment...Joshy--thanks for loving Tswift and I'm ready when you are haha. Derek and Reese thanks for letting me come into the stable and for not kicking me out. All of these boys have so many things going for them and I can't wait to see what happens next in their life!

Fourth and final....my roommates. Last year I remember praying that I wouldn't get "weird" roommates. I remember like it was yesterday realizing that my two roommates would be sisters and they are twins. (yes I stalked both of them for like 2 days--thank you social media) haha Little did I know they wouldn't become my roommates, but more like my sisters. Rooming with these two and their older sister has been one of the biggest blessings this year. Getting to know Kim has been so fun. From her delicious foods, to a cat puzzle we never finished, having her get engaged, planning a wedding, slipping and falling from trying to save her diet pepsi and getting advice about what to do next with my life has been so helpful. Brittany, where do I even begin? I will always look up to you. You are one of the hardest, most dedicated people I know. From taking 18 credits, being on the track team, dealing with bootie--you never let anything stop you. There are days when you are down and I can tell you might think you are hiding it, but that's how you and I are so much a like. The thing about you is that you always push past anything that gets in your way. Thank you for being there. For coming with me to the library, being a pinterst addict, loving Greys, listening to my life problems and drama, and much much more. Brookie---I am so glad that I recorded your voice so when I can't fall asleep I'll just play your songs (sounds creppy, but for those who have heard her voice you will understand and those that haven't you're missin out). You are always first to realize the potential of someone. You may be fashionably late all the time (if I looked as good as you I would too), full of feistiness, but you love so deeply and whole heartedly. Thank you for always being able to listen to me and sharing your thoughts. These past two years have been some of the hardest, challenging, difficult times so far in my life and these two have been there every step of the way. Next year is going to be different--I'm not sure why it has to be so....but I do know that just because I'm not living with them next year doesn't mean that our friendship ends. Taco soup, Southwest chicken, brownies, and cookies of mine will always have their name on it. I'm so excited for the adventures that await all of us. I'm not to cry because it's over (even though I already have), but I'm going to smile because it happened. I have had the best roommates. And saying that is an understatement. Much much love to my twinsies :)

and finally....hello SUMMER!

General Conference and Easter

Easter if my favorite Holiday. The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is my favorite gospel. My favorite chocolate is Cadbury eggs. My favorite people are my friends, roommates, and most importantly family. So this weekend...was one of my favorites. :)

School is winding down this month which means finals, studying, brain hurting, no sleep, crappy eating, and repeat. This weekend was exactly what I needed! Papa Craig came up to Logan for the first half of Saturday Conference and bought us bagels that were perfect seeing how I some how managed to chip my molar on Friday. Then after Conference, Brookie and Britt headed to Hooper to spend Easter with my family and we had tickets to the Sunday afternoon session. Can I just say dying eggs is hard. I literally have no artistic ability what so ever. But non the less we (I) suffered through it trying to make my eggs look pretty as possible. We woke up to the Easter Bunny leaving us a basket full of Oreos of course and chocolate, chocolate, and bumpy jelly beans.

We headed to conference. I love this gospel. I am not really sure I have the right words for how much I needed to hear the council of the Church leaders. So here are some of my favorite words that they shared that I needed to hear...
  • 2 ingredients for a successful marriage: a cookie and a kiss!
  • A husband is never more attractive then when he is fulfilling his duty in the home.
  • You have to be willing to be offended, that is the only way to fully act on your faith.
  • Family is the center of life.
  • As we fear God completely, we will love him more perfectly.
  • "I can teach the dance, but you have to hear the music."
  • A Saint is a sinner who keeps on trying.
  • He still extends unending grace with pierced palms and scarred wrists.
  • Rediscover this gospel.
  • Celebrate the gift of victory.
  • Giving in, giving up, and getting out is not an option.
I loved this weekend and the memories (laughs) I shared with the people who are close to me. For those who missed conference or want to hear more, you can check my page --I Believe--.
