C R U S I N

So...uh remember my last post about how "I'm going to blog more", "I have so many future posts coming up"....and so forth. Well let me tell you life is a roller coaster and these past two months have literally flashed before my eyes!

This post is an exciting post. This past week was so very much needed--needed due to me cracking my phone screen, getting in a car wreck, having exams up the wall, dealing with work, oh and being sick--like I said it was very much needed! It was my spring break and so my best friends (and like 80% of USU) headed on a cruise. We went on Carnival Inspiration out of Long Beach, California. We headed to Catalina Island and then to Esanda, Mexico. First night we stayed in Vegas, with our friend Marcus's grandparents. Literally the sweetest couple you will ever meet in your life. The we strolled down the strip and tried all the Cokes from around the world--seriously USA knows how to make a Coke though because there are some countries (no offense) but were down right gross.

Don't worry I wasn't fast enough for the self timer haha

We woke up from Vegas and off we were to Cali to get on the boat! Let just say I hate driving in Cali...like I'm pretty sure every one there needs to go to traffic school again. haha Plus I think I would like to save up more money and just fly on in...air planes are faster :) However, I did the road trip and we made it!

The boat--nothing like I have ever been on before in my life. I loved it though. Below are my random Jess thoughts so if you wanna just move on and look at my pictures feel free--judge free zone :)

  • Sharing a bedroom that was made for two people with 6 girls. Probably not the smartest idea, but hey we made memories and hit are heads only a handful times on the bunk.
  • Thank goodness for a power-strip.
  • Having no windows made sleeping a piece of a cake.
  • I probably would never bring my future children on a cruise for plenty of reasons.
  • Riding elevators and literally just being in a hotel on water (if that makes sense at all) is so amazingly fascinating to me.
  • Ice cream all day every day need I say more.
  • Dining---pretty sure the food I ate cost more then whole cruise cost me but its whatever.
We had our first stop in Catalina Island. I mean seriously it was so fun! We rode bikes, had the adventure of trying to be the king of the rock, and honestly just so much more. Plus the colored houses and building were so fun :)

Then we headed to Mexico. This was my first time going outside of the US besides Canada (which doesn't count). Truthfully it opened up my eyes and its so weird not knowing the language or be able to read any of the signs. We went to a blow hole and then just shopped around and enjoyed the day. The things I saw this day just really opened my eyes to how bless I am in my life.

Dinners, Karaoke, Dancing, Shows...basically anything after the 2+ hours of stuffing our face (yes we ordered everything on the menu) is when we got to enjoy the ship. It was fun to dress up for Formal Night oh and did I mention we were VIP in a dance show one night. For those who have seen the movie the Proposal, remember the part with the stripper...yup little did Kell and I know we were in for a show to say the least hahah. But hey free virgin Pina-Coladas on the show cast were the perfect touch to the end of the last night on the cruise. :)

We also played mini golf...and I just had a blast and a lot of laughs with some great people. I guess the rest of my pictures are randoms. We spent a day in St. George on the way back. Little did our group know how competitive we all were. We played tennis, soccer tennis, cards, basketball, laid out by the pool, and just tried to soak up a few more sun rays before we headed back to reality.

Before going on this cruise I was so nervous about everything. But I will say that night I just made the decision and said "what the hey I'm going to go on a cruise". Ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. I made memories that will last me a life time and experienced things I will always remember. So spring break thank you, you were much needed. Now here is back to reality and the home stretch before finals and summer begins!
